Bronze figurine in a form of a horse. Figurines were common votive offerings to the gods in Ancient Greece. Horses were also often depicted with a warrior rider. An especially large number of horse figurines dating primarly to the Geometric and early Archaic period has been found in the sanctuary of Zeus at Olympia. Beginning of 7th century B.C.
