Ceramic painting game - Amphora with Octopus
Mycenaean three-handled palace amphora It shows three large octopuses enfolding the body of the vase in a seascape of rocks and seaweed. This is a work by a Mycenaean artisan influenced by the so-called “Maritime Style” of Minoan Crete. Found in the Mycenaean cemetery of Prosymna (Argolis). 15th century B.C.
