Scythian Treasures

The book "Scythian Treasures" captures the exhibits of the eponymous exhibition organized under the auspices of the Greek Ministry of Culture and Sciences and the State Hermitage Museum of Leningrad. It includes important works of art from burial mounds of Eurasia, revealing the material and artistic production of the Scythians. The content of the volume includes: prologue and introduction to the Scythians, historical and cultural positioning of the Scythian world, examinations of arts and cultural influences, chapters on archaeological maps and the most important groups of finds. The cultures of the steppe and regions such as Siberia and the Altai tribes are also analyzed, as well as Herodotus' testimonies about the Scythians. Published by Dodoni Editions.
