Fire is a source of light, energy and optimism, providing warmth, protection and security. It offers the comfort of the hearth, becomes a means of communication and a lever for human creation. It contributes to the construction of the wheel, tools, weapons and vessels. It symbolizes the spirit and divine presence. It becomes a cause of terror and horror. It is the threatening nature that cannot be tamed. It is a means of purification and part of ritual. It is one of the four elements of nature that in harmony compose matter. It is the precious divine gift secretly given to mankind.
